The faces behind homeless pee

We see them in our cities, and more and more in smaller towns. They ask us for money. We get annoyed. We sometimes get angry. But, we mostly get apathetic, preferring to look the other way so as to avoid the inner debate of whether to stop, whether to help, whether to even care.

A recent post on Facebook by a model struck me in a way that, although not unfamiliar, was more poignant than in the past. Upon reading, “I had fun in the rain, smelling pee from the homeless guys …”, my first thought was, “I wonder who those ‘homeless guys’ are. I want to capture their faces; I want to share their stories.”

I want to know about the life behind the down-trodden man with nowhere to turn. What do you want to do?
