The sense of smell is one of my favorite senses. Top five, at least. It alerts to danger, it invites to eat, it informs us when No-Shower November has fully run its course.

Scent can seduce. Scent can repulse. Scent can more accurately conjure memories than any of the other senses with which the Good Lord blessed us.
Scent is fascinating. Fragrances which on their own may seem benign can mix to form the most intoxicating elixir. Elements which might typically be juxtaposed will combine to awaken even the most aromatically-apathetic.
Scent is a gift from God.
