Think.Create – Clichés in Model Photography

Is it my imagination or are cowboy hats and Daisy Dukes one of the biggest clichés in modeling photography? That, and cars. Seriously…It’s like saying, “We’ve got a woman here so utterly unattractive that a muscle car just might make her look sexy.”

(Or, maybe you’re hoping the gorgeous woman will make your piece of American metal look appealing. There is always that, I suppose…)

Sure, it might be easy to just throw a girl into a couple strings of cotton and dunk her in water or photograph her protruding rump while she’s leaning over a sports car, but where is the creativity in that? How much thought and preparation had to go into it? But, most importantly, how is that image any different than the millions of others just like it?
