A [Photographer’s] Christmas in July

Yesterday had one of those I’m-a-friggin’-kid-again afternoons. In addition to finally taking the plunge and replacing some broken equipment and picking up additional gear (like more portable backup and storage), I also rented some new L-series lenses to try out…all of which arrived on the same day.

There was excited slashing of boxes, throwing of paper, and popping of inflated packing material…as the kids just stood in amazement while Daddy unwrapped his presents.
